Following the stars from Aachen (Germany) to Santiago, 3000km walking

The “first” way

Through Belgium, Reims, Vezelay, Cluny, Le Puy, Conques, Toulouse, Saint Bertrand de Comminges, Le Somport, the Aragonese and the French Camino

The Turpin chronicle relates that, one night, Saint James appeared to the emperor Carlomagno. The apostle asked him to deliver his tomb from the Moors. To achieve this, he had to follow the stars. The milky way would lead him to the western end of Spain, to Galicia.
Carlomagno left Aachen, was defeated at Roncesvalles and failed to deliver the tomb. But the story of the pilgrimage of Santiago was born …
Following the stars, going ahead each day further, slowly at the most natural pace. What a great program!
